After producer Allu Arvind moved to court for a copyright infringement case against the makers of the Bollywood film Raabtaa and filed a case against the makers of Raabta for allegedly copying the plot of his 2009 blockbuster Magadheera, Bhushan Kumar, one of the producers of Raabta refuted the copyright infringement charges and said that both Raabta and Magadheera are two completely different films except for the genre reincarnation.
He also said that there are many films made on the reincarnation concept and it doesn’t mean that they are freelifts or free makes. “We saw Magadheera and can confidently say that our film is totally a different one. I believe they (Magadheera makers) are just assuming from the trailers. There are a lot of films based on the (reincarnation) theme and copyright laws can’t be applied to a plotline,” said Bhushan Kumar. The producer further said that he is ready to screen the film to the court to support his stand. Meanwhile, the court will be hearing the case on June 1. The movie featuring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon is slated for grand release
