A self-proclaimed godman and controversial Tantrik Chandraswami died at 69 following multiple organ failures at a hospital in Delhi on 23rd May. Chandraswami rose to fame during the reign of PV Narasimha Rao, the former Prime Minister of India, however, he was arrested in 1996 on charges of defrauding Lakhubhai Pathak, a London-based Indian-origin businessman, of $100,000.
